Since its founding in 2013, H&K Co. Ltd. has sought out the best products Japan has to offer. In 2019, we launched our original brand, “Hatsukokoro.” The word “Hatsukokoro” comes from the Japanese proverb, “Never forget your original intention.”
Due to the terms of the contracts between the brand and the blacksmiths, the identities of some blacksmiths remain a mystery—which makes things a little more exciting.

These knives are sharpened with a slight convex curve and a super-fine finish, easily placing them in the “laser-sharp” category. The use of SG2 steel for the cutting edge makes these knives highly sought after for their ease of use and long lifespan. The suminagashi damask finish captivates with its intricate details, making these knives a spectacular choice for a gift.
