Since its founding in 2013, H&K Co. Ltd has sought out the best products Japan has to offer. In 2019, we developed our original brand, “Hatsukokoro.” The word Hatsukokoro comes from the Japanese proverb, “Don’t forget your original intention.”
As a result of the contracts stipulated between the brand and the blacksmiths, the identity of some blacksmiths remains a mystery, which makes things a little more exciting.

Entirely handmade, the handle is crafted from dyed and stabilized maple burl hybrid with resin, with a reindeer bone spacer and orca acrylic ferrule.
Aogami steel can be sharpened to a very fine edge for clean, precise cuts. The “kurouchi” forged finish provides additional protection for the blade.
